After winning first place in a cake competition with Duff Goldman from Food Network’s Ace of Cakes, Emily Rheingans realized she might have a knack for baking. She worked her way up in the Minneapolis restaurant scene from prep cook to pastry chef, kitchen manager and everywhere in between, and spent six weeks on an organic farm in southern France. Her French sojourn inspired her to establish her bakery, Mon Peti Cheri, and to sell at the Minneapolis Farmers Market, giving back back to the community and contributing to Minneapolis’ amazing local food scene.
