Husk, clean and wash whole ears of corn.
FREEZER BAGS–1 pint/quart size. You will need 3 ears of sweet corn for each quart sized bag…1quart=2pints.
BOIL WATER TO BLANCH….blanching helps destroy bacteria that happens on any vegetable.
USING LARGE STOCK POT WORKS BEST FOR BOILING.
RINSE…1). Cold water…2). In ice water if possible…this keeps the sweet corn nice and tender.
CUT…Corn cut “off” the cob is very user friendly…not taking up too much space in your freezer…I recommend this method.
Place your ear of corn upright in the center of an angel food cake pan to cut the kernels away.. EASY TO ROTATE, EASY TO SCOOP UP FOR BAGGING.
Freeze immediately. REMEMBER TO DATE ALL FROZEN FOODS.
