Market Talk Learning Series
The series was developed to educate Market customers. Local chefs or the farmers themselves conduct the “Talks.” The class usually starts with a demonstration of how to cook or use the featured product. The speaker usually focuses on explaining the benefits of the product, how the featured farmer grows the food, and/or how to use those sometimes “funny” looking vegetables in your meals. Each class ends by giving the crowd free recipe cards and a chance to ask the chef or growers questions one-on-one.

It’s free to attend. Rain or shine, each Saturday morning at 10:30 a.m. a session is held next to the Market’s office (coffee shop). There is seating for about 45 people and standing room for more; half of the space is covered. The “Talk” lasts for about an hour.
