The 2017 Minneapolis Farmers Market offers an exciting season of Market Talk series, Family art projects, and beautiful music. Click here for the event schedule.

And if you want to know what’s fresh and in season right now, click here.

The Market Talk Series take place Saturday mornings at 10:30 and this year will feature expertise from some of our vendors and visits from other community experts, as well as a couple of our favorite local chefs:

Laura Bonicelli, Chef and owner of Bonicelli Kitchen, and long-time Market shopper will join us six times this summer and highlight a technique, recipe, or other delicious idea.  Laura is known for her piccolo piatti (small plate), amazing dishes of all kinds, and an extraordinary commitment to locally sourcing food—and using all of it when possible.  Chef Bonicelli will also do her regular Market shopping and let Market staff shop with her several Friday mornings and we’ll share some of her creative ideas on video.  Read about her restaurant in a recent Market feature .

Tammy Wong, Chef and owner of award winning Rainbow Chinese Restaurant, is a long-time Market shopper and vendor—if you haven’t tried her egg roll noodle bowl, well, you might want to!  Chef Wong will not only create some of her amazing wok style cooking under the demonstration tent, she will also offer quick, fun ideas and tips all season long about what to do with some of the latest fresh darlings of the market.  So get ready for a—Market Flash—idea for something you can do right now with something fresh from the Market today.

Whether you are contemplating what to make for dinner with what you buy at the Market, or how to can or freeze for the winter—the Market will be your resource on fresh and local eating (online and in the Market).

We are also adding Family Art Projects—involving something growing related—to our line-up this year.  Painting pots, planting, and more to entertain children and the whole family.

Sunday mornings feature music from local artists, a nice back-drop to your shopping or place to listen while you enjoy a brat or other Market treat.  And if you are a local musician interested in performing next season (2018), please send an email (link contact)

Make the Minneapolis Farmers Market your destination every weekend for fun, and every single day for groceries!
